In case you got too caught up in coursework and didn’t get a chance to see the world’s most good-looking angels strut down the runway and lighting Paris on fire, let’s rewind and indulge in a little play-by-play of what went down. Whether you are looking for an upbeat, fashion-y distraction from your revision or you are thinking of filling your stockings with Victoria Secret goodies, the 2016 show definitely deserves some attention.

The show took place on November 30, at the Grand Palais in Paris, a venue famous for, among many other things, its association with the house of Chanel. The VS fashion team took on a whole new challenge by walking directly into the French capital of fashion and all over sacred Chanel ground, but that’s the kind of boldness that sets them apart.

Although the Grand Palais is quite the prestigious, arty venue, it soon got the Victoria Secret make-over, with a runway full of glitter, celebrities like Lenny Kravitz and Olivier Rousteing in the front row, and pop singers Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and The Weekend on stage. We could have been anywhere else in the world really and the VS runway and style would remain the same. But that’s exactly what makes it fun; you can always expect good vibes, beautiful lingerie and, of course, huge wings.

The craftsmanship involved in the outfits of the show is apparent; from the Mountain Romance wardrobe, which would give Heidi of the Alps a run for her money, to the Pink Nation see-through hoodies, shorts and dresses to the bejeweled bodices and fringes and, of course, to Jasmine Tookes’ 3-million-dollar, diamond bra. Not to mention that this show proudly presented the largest pair of wings on the runway so far – not an easy thing to carry around, especially when walking on high heels. And, as always, the intricate design of the lingerie was enough to catch your eye; from dainty, lacy bralettes to casual Pink bras, the show had something for every taste.

No model slayed the runway more than Lady Gaga did though. Not only did she perform her song “A Million Reasons” in a gorgeous, floor-sweeping gown, all made out of lace, but she also danced on impossibly high heels during her A-Yo/John Wayne medley, during which she took off her coat and put on a sparkly cowboy hat with long fringes without anyone noticing. And, having decided to end her act with a bang, she walked off the stage sporting some wings of her own.

Bruno Mars also did not disappoint; his tunes were just made for the show. In a big coat and sunnies, he performed “Chunky,” while all the Pink Nation models were parading around. He then ended the show with “24K Magic,” which, given the amount of bling involved in the finale (including, of course, the fantasy bra), was only fitting. So fitting that even Lenny Kravitz could not stay immune; he was definitely grooving at that point. Lastly, The Weekend did his part in the show, keeping the flow going nicely – runway tête-à-tête with Bella Hadid aside.
